This program will be focused on the heart team approach for creating and growing an arrhythmia treatment program and managing post-operative pain. The education and discussions at this program are more impactful when healthcare providers (HCPs) attend as a team (cardiac surgeon, electrophysiologist (EP), general cardiologist, advanced practice provider (APP), nurse navigator or other complimentary members of your heart team).
Cardiac Arrhythmia Treatment Summit (CATS): Becoming an Arrhythmia Treatment (ART) Surgeon
This program has been designed for advanced surgeons who currently treat complex arrhythmias and are seeking to increase their expertise and become Arrhythmia Treatment (ART) surgeons.
The course focuses on:
- Long-term effects of untreated arrhythmias
- Heart failure (HF) and its deleterious effect on atrial fibrillation (Afib)
- Patient Identification
- Markers for Afib, depressed left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), HF, and enlarged atria
- The importance of restoring sinus rhythm and increasing cardiac output
- Collaborative patient approach and partnering with EPs for optimal care
- Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with world class faculty and hear about their experience and road map to becoming an ART surgeon
